Neighbour is a project operated by Wabbit Studio BV. Wabbit Studio BV is responsible for personal information processed for this website (the “controller”). You can find its identification and contact details on our legal information page.
What you share with us
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address to confirm your signup and send the launch updates you request. Joining is optional and does not create a paid account.
If you submit a search summary, we also collect the rent or buy choice, postcodes, budget, property type, minimum bedrooms, minimum floor area, EPC preferences and notes you submit, plus your first name if you choose to provide it. We use these to save your interests and send your confirmation summary. Unsubmitted answers, viewing questions and mortgage inputs remain in your browser and reset on reload. We do not send them to an AI provider.
Your language and cookie choices stay in this browser. Calculator scenarios are temporary and reset on reload. Our cookie policy explains this storage and how to remove it. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information into the examples.
Waitlist emails
We use Resend to store waitlist contacts and submitted Ask Neighbour answers, and to send confirmations and requested updates. Search-summary signups receive the details they submitted; an optional first name may personalise the email. Joining the waitlist does not activate live property matching.
- Launch updates: we use your email address to send the Neighbour updates you request, based on your consent.
- Home match emails: if you separately request personalised matches, your email and the search preferences you provide will be used for that purpose. Joining the launch waitlist alone will not sign you up for personalised matches.
- Your choice: signing up will be optional. Each marketing email will include an unsubscribe link. You will also be able to withdraw consent through our contact email, without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
We keep an active waitlist entry for up to 12 months from signup, unless you withdraw sooner or renew your request to remain. On withdrawal, we stop marketing emails and remove the active entry. A limited suppression record may be retained to prevent further sends, and consent records where needed to demonstrate compliance or handle legal claims; these are not used for marketing.
Hosting, service providers and security
Our email processor is Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.). Hosting and security providers process technical connection data, such as IP addresses, requested pages and browser information, to deliver and protect the website. Access is limited to those who need it for these purposes. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website for this technical processing.
Service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected by an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. You can request details of the relevant safeguards through our contact email. We do not sell waitlist information or share it with estate agents for their own marketing.
Website analytics
With your consent, Vercel Web Analytics helps us understand page visits, referring websites and general device, browser and country information. Vercel uses a temporary identifier rather than analytics cookies to distinguish visitors; this identifier lasts no longer than 24 hours. We remove query strings and fragments from tracked page URLs and do not send custom events, names, email addresses or Ask Neighbour answers. Your analytics choice is separate from Resend signups. Use Cookie settings on our cookie policy page to withdraw consent and stop future analytics.
Your rights
Where we hold personal information about you, you may ask to access it, correct it, erase it or restrict its use. Depending on the legal basis, you may also request a portable copy or object to processing. You can always object to direct marketing and withdraw your consent.
Use the contact details on our legal information page to make a request. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; if a lawful extension is needed, we will explain why within that month.
You may also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority or the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live, work or believe a violation occurred.
Automated decisions and changes
We make no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you. The property examples and calculators do not determine your eligibility for housing or finance.
We will update this page when our services or data practices change. If we introduce a new purpose requiring consent, we will ask before using your information for it.
